No Ncase, No Email

When i saw the Ncase M1 i really fell in love with it so i decided to buy one.

Black with a cd/dvd cut-out, luckely they where still available on the website.

 

After i payed 215 USD the waiting began. I ordered before on the 7th:

• Orders placed between the 24th-7th: shipped 2 to 3 business days after the 7th.

Happy as i was i started to buy pc components, components from which i know they will fit the M1

Almost a week later i recieved an email from Ncase:

 

"Hi,

 

Unfortunately, our M1 inventory was sold out by the time you made the purchase, and we have refunded you in full via PayPal.

A glitch with our inventory counting system allowed the order through.

In terms of availability, we plan to have more inventory by JAN 2016. Pre-orders may start as early as next week.

Since we have just decided to update the M1 design, we have do some testing before ordering more inventory,

Thank you again for supporting the NCASE project!

 

Cheers."

 

I replied to this mail but didn't get an anwser back.

 

So now i have an pile of computerparts and no computercase.
What should i do. If i order a new case where i bought my pcparts i have to pay shipping costs again...

I mean it's not my fault Ncase screwed up shouldn't they pay for the shipping costs?

 

What other case could i buy?

What are your thoughts on this?

They should pay for shipping of the new case, but they don't have to.

Act like a piece of shit and make a huge deal about it if they don't give you free shipping!

See if any other store has the case you want in stock, or look for another case you might like.  Paying for shipping will be unavoidable.  Or see if there is a cheap or used case lying around somewhere you can temporarily re-use until you get your hands on the case you really want.

First im gonna say that is the WORST video card to get and put in an Ncase m1... way too much heat and its not a blower design all your gonna do is circulate hot air in the case. Get a 980 with a blower fan.

I'd just build the PC on the mobo box and run it there until the M1 is back in stock

Now i have to place two orders a pccasegear, one for the components and one for the case.

So double the shippingcosts.

Usually you have to pay shipping separately as the case comes in it's own box. Newegg and Amazon do the same thing.

If your components haven't been shipped yet, you can call them and ask if they can combine the orders.  That's what I do.  However from your original post, I guess you have already received the components.

Yeah, I would advise against doing this.  Better to be polite without being apologetic.  I've managed to establish good relationships with various vendors that often I get free shipping or better discounts than normal.

I agree with you about being polite, i mean the guys at Ncase act polite too.

True it doesn't always work, however better to be labeled as a polite and respectful person than an @$$.  Being labeled as an @$$ may make them be less helpful than normal.

Well... No... It's not "double the shipping cost", it's the exact same, if not cheaper.

You pay shipping cost on the components.

You also would've paid shipping cost on the nCase, but didn't in the end. (if it was free shipping, then assume that the cost is included in the price of the case itself)

Thus you take that money you saved from not buying that case and instead put it toward a R5 or something , which is cheaper.

So in the end, you would've paid the shipping cost no matter what but now you will have some money left over, unless you decide to go with a ridiculously expensive case again for no reason.
