Yes, is the short answer. What frame rate do you want and what games do you intend on playing? could just try 2x DSR on the games you want to play and see if it's playable by your standards.

Depending on what fps and settings you find playable.

Yes, is the short answer. What frame rate do you want and what games do you intend on playing? could just try 1.5x DSR on the games you want to play and see if it's playable by your standards.

This is the potential monitor :http://www.amazon.com/PB258Q-2560x1440-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00VRKVGJG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1444602036&sr=1-3&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A2633653011%7C3547805011%7C3547806011%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6570749011

Most games include ETS2, FSX, GTAV, and the new Starwars Battlefront. Im kinda all over the board with my games. I have a feeling that my card wouldn't handle 2 of them. My current monitor is a 720p 30hz television, so 60fps at Med-High settings is my target

Oh right, I don't know about most of those, but I would imagine you could get GTA V @60FPS if you lower some of the settings. Not sure about star wars battlefront tho, I would imagine about the same lowering a few settings would get you 60FPS most the time if not all the time.

Also side note, how did you not upgrade your monitor before hand 30Hz is horrible...

Last Summer I built this: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Farmall200/builds/#view=LqzMnQ

I was going to upgrade sooner, but I haven't had the cash. I'm just about ready too now, but would I be better off with 2 1080p monitors I could game on simultaneously, or is that just a bigger headache to deal with?

Dual monitors isn't a thing when it comes to gaming... your cross hair would lie where the bezels are. I've only ever had a single 1080p monitor, I was considering upgrading to 1440p but I don't have the money atm.. student life :(

Pretty much. So in summary im good getting two of those monitors, and its okay to hook up one with Display port and the other with HDMI, or should they both be DVI?

I'm pretty sure it's fine, however, like I said I've had 0 experience with multi monitors so I can't tell you for sure.

I'd say Dual monitor gaming isn't very good. It really doesn't add to the immersion. If you wanna do multiscreen gaming, I'd suggest to go for three monitors, especially if you play simulators. I have GTX780 and I don't think it will max out games at 1440p but you probably will be able to run most games at high @ 60fps but some games you gotta lower it to medium-high. Might have to lower it for battlefront and GTA V though. I used to have a dual screen gaming setup but then I didn't gaming on dual screen. Luckily I managed to refund both and bought a 1080p monitor for gaming and 1440p monitor for productivity.
