This, this, this is what I am now saving for, I'm on £160 and have 53 weeks of cutting an acre of grass to go shame its winter so I cant any more. Well anyway the question is should I save, I will probably get the 1070 or 1080 Gpu's when they come out but other that that a good choice? what upgrades could I get for £1000 ish?

You don't really need a Z-series motherboard with that Xeon, it can't be OCd anyway.

Why would you do 970 SLI?

That ain't a great idea.. pick a 980 Ti instead and have a quieter, cooler, and faster experience.

Just a heads up. E3-1220 v3 does not support hyper-threading

You should always be saving but why bother thinking about specific parts now? By the time you can actually afford any of this your current list will be completely irrelevant. Come back when you actually have the money.

More VRam?

No VRAM does not stack effectively in SLI it's still 4GB mirrored

I have an i5 4590 and its great for gaming plus in premiere pro it out performs a fx 8350 but if hes doing say after effects a xeon would out peform it but lighter software such as premiere pro there would be much of a difference! (That's presuming he wants to edit videos hence the xeon!)

No VRAM does not stack effectively in SLI it's still 4GB mirrored

YH good point, actually its music production, live mixing and Turntablism so it requires fast CPU cycles as well as hyper-threading on my software :P
