I upgraded my win 7 pro to 10 pro, activated and everything. then i clean installed win 10 and i activated again. now 2 days later it is asking me activate windows. wtf ???

anyone else had this problem?

 

Also, has anyone noticed that shutting off win update, does not actually shut it off, it still downloads and installs updates :-(

Did you change your hardware by any chances, from your upgrade to your clean install?

Did you forget to install a driver after you upgraded, and now that you cleaned installed you installed that driver, so Windows things your hardware has changed significantly and deactivated.

Regardless you have no choice to clean install your previous version of Windows, install all the drivers, activate it, update it, and upgrade to Windows 10 again.

Wasmy next step. And no, no changes at all. The current installed win 10 started saying activated, now 2 days later, same install, it is no longer activated. does not make sense at all.

Did you try activating Windows? Did you try phone activation?

Did you try using Microsoft support? (type: Support, in Cortana, and pick "Contact Support").
