I am looking for a 1440p monitor which I can have as a triple monitor setup in the future. My card is a 780ti FTW which is a beast so will be able to run. I am hoping for a 1440p;

  • Ultrawide
  • IPS
  • 144hz
  • Curved
  • <£600

I saw all those on a monitor but it came out as £800, I don't have that money so you can get rid of some of those requests if you believe necessary.

Look at the xb270hu

It's around the 550 mark and has g sync but not ultra wide

It's an amazing monitor

XB270HU

  • Ultrawide
  • IPS
  • 144hz
  • Curved
  • <£600

These guys don't go together. As far as I know there are no ultrawide curved 144Hz. And there will not be many IPS 144Hz for a long time.

I have a GTX 970 and I can run almost any game maxed out with my XB270HU. Fantastic monitor.

Keep posting guys!

Very unlucky, the thing is that the monitor is just way to expensive for it's specs even though the specs are brilliant. Alright my birthday is on the 31st and Christmas is on, well everyone knows where christmas is so I was thinking if I can get a 600 it could be a duel present (I am 14, I can still get presents ^_^ ) For something that price I would assume it had all those specs and more. Maybe I should wait for 1440p and 144hz to become more mainstream and get a headset or something?

I can average 144fps on almost any game :) And it's not a problem if it drops. Because of g-sync (and I'm not kidding), 40 fps will look like 90 fps.

40fps does not look like 90 lol the motion blur is the key difference however it is really smooth at 40 still

With g-sync for some weird reason it does :P But it's not a problem since I don't drop under 100.

How do you know it does that then? Hmm!? Just kiddin' yeah should I save up for the monitor then or wait for the monitors to become more consumer priced?

Once again, 1440p 21:9 IPS 144hz will not be possible until DP 1.3 is implemented in mainstream monitors (some Korean monitor has DP 1.3 but not the specs you are looking for) and video cards.

Why does 21:9 make it impossible? Is the resolution just too large?

Edit: Acer Predator X34 Literally everything I want in a monitor (apart from the 144hz although you can overclock to 100hz, and it has G-Sync which makes it look smoother).

(Looks at the price... 1000 pounds! Holy S***!)

It is because of the bandwith limitation of DP 1.2. It's pretty much capped at around 3440x1440@109hz (but they have to leave some overhead so it's 100hz in practice).

Unless they lower the color bits or come up with some magic compression trick, 3440x1440@100hz is pretty much the max for DP 1.2.

Believe me, it's bugging me to no end. I really wanted 1440p 21:9 at 144hz too. At least if they would squeeze in a bit more and reach 120hz...

I have to decide between 1440p 16:9 144hz vs 1440p 21:9 100hz and I really don't know what I should choose.
