Using Raid0 With SSD: Onboard (software) vs RAID Card

Mastermind2214

Hey everyone I'm going to be purchasing 2 OCZ Vector 256GB SSDs and I was wondering if I should get a RAID card to manage my array or even if the Sabertooth 990fx+ R2 has built in RAID Support and which would be better.

Purpose of the array is to increase performance to utilize my new machine I'm building for video/photo editing (using adobe suites) and gaming.

Thanks everyone in advance for answering!

You definitely don't need a RAID card for 2 SSD's in RAID 0. The onboard controller will be more than adequate for your needs.

Sweet, thanks m8 :D. One more quick thing, could you link me somewhere or tell me what the differences and benefits of using a raid card would be?
