( or will this all depend on the warranty)

I'm new to online shopping so go easy

You should probably just save up and order them all at once, what's your end budget?

Otherwise just get parts with good reviews and you should be fine, if something is DOA you can just RMA it and get a new one usually.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Basically this is my build i've gotten the case already since that's the one thing that i can see is not broken.

My Parents say they'll buy one item each week so i told them if 900$ was okay and they said yeah

I could ask them to just save up to buy all them at once  i guess

Maybe check out

Otherwise, it's pretty easy to get a bootable windows USB through rufus

https://rufus.akeo.ie/

And then you just need an ISO which you can obtain from various websites, including microsoft's if you have a legit key to put into it, course, no one buys windows really...

That way you don't need a dvd drive.

Shipping and insurance costs will likely be higher ordering one part a week.

If there is no way out of the 1 part a week, risk can be minimized by getting parts in this order:

  1. case
  2. Windows (can be gotten any time up to step 8)
  3. psu (You can short two particular pins on the 24-pin motherboard power line to see if it turns on and the psu fan and case fans work. Not a full test, but you will know it is not completely dead. Check the internet for the particular pins to short.)
  4. motherboard - before buying make sure it has a BIOS that supports a Haswell Refresh cpu (you can test that the case LED, power & reset buttons work, motherboard may have one or more LED that should light, and if there is a speaker attached should get an beep error code)
  5. cpu (go ahead and install it with the stock cooler, system will not boot yet, but everything should power up with beep error code)
  6. memory (once installed the system should come up and you should be able to go into the BIOS)
  7. optical drive (should be able to boot from the Windows disk)
  8. ssd/hdd (now Windows can be installed and the system should be useable)
  9. gpu
  10. Hyper 212 EVO is optional, if you get it you will also need some rubbing/isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs to clean off the thermal paste left by the removed stock cooler. Replacing a cpu cooler is a delicate but not too difficult operation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
