AMD CPU boosting?

So just setting here watching the WAN show and my case fans kick into turbo god mode....only thing open is chrome so i got curious and starting cpuz and for some reason my cpu is cranked up to 3.7ghz all on its own from stock 3.4ghs, to my knowledge a phenom ii x4 965 be does not have anything that can cause it to increase it own frequency....any thoughts?

Honestly I'm less concerned about the fan speed and more about the random increase in cpu freq.
