My laptop couldn't run current games, so i've decided to get a new pc.

I will use this pc for heavy gaming and light video editing(gaming videos). I might do some photoshopping in the future. I play games such as Starcraft 2, Dying light, and Star wars battlefront(battlefront is the main reason why im getting a new pc). Also, I want my games to be maxed out. And I intend to overclock ti the maximum.

P.S. I can't afford X99.

P.P.S. I was planning to go for a platinum power supply, but went out of my budget.

looks damn good to me.

PSU, could be better, but it's not bad

970 could be swapped for a 390

actually still regarding the 970, that particular one isn't that great an overclocker, the MSI one is better (assuming you're keeping to the red theme)

that's about it.

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

Looks pretty good, but if you want a bit more performance, get a r9 390, i'll rate that 970 3.5/4

The only thing i'd change is the PSU, i waay to expensive for a 650w unit instead get an evga supernova g2 750W is better and costs a bit less ~$100

Google Chrome isn't translating very well  but I did notice that they sell Super Flower power supplies. A Leadex Gold or Leadex Silver would be a good choice.

You can also look at anything from Seasonic and XFX if available. Also Antec High current gamer and Antec Edge are good units.

Watch the video, "future proof" doesn't exist unless you're talking about something that won't change in the next 5-10 years. That's Power Supplies and cases. Go with Haswell and have a better computer. Or increase your budget.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

SuperFlower make some of the best units on the market. Corsair are usually overpriced for what you get.

Is the xfx xtr worth it? It is made by seasonic and has 100% japanese capacitors(wow corsair psu is a joke).

yes. most of xfx/antec psu are seasonic made.

And EVGA gs/ps are seasonic made, the g2/p2 are Super Flower made (Leadex Gold/Platinum series), while B2 (bronze+ performing as silver) is like the golden green series

The site has changed....
