Maybe cuz you have a AMD board.

and yes, you can see both cards, its just that people say that you cannot set your 970 as a dedicated PhysX card/Cuda card while gaming on the AMD one.

and or some other features is magically disabled.

 

I was using the 970 for folding while playing games on the 6870 if that helps? Or maybe it's black magic like you say? Ooooooooo SPOOPY!!
