So I ordered powerline adapters. The  TP-Link TL-PA4010P AV500 passthrough ones, and I would like to ask some questions. First, let me say that I am not too sure if it will work but I am tired of having insane lag spikes with this new router while having fiber internet. I wouild like to ask if I could plug my router to this passthrough powerline without any problems? I would also like to ask if you have to plug the powerline into a surge protector? Because I heard that it can fry the router if you don't do so. The problem is that, the place where my router is there's only one socket, and I am not sure if has a surge protector. I would appreciate any help.

Surge protectors block power over ethernet.  Use an extension, but older extensions can decrease bandwidth and increase latency.

Yes, you can connect the router through powerline adapters. I doubt they can fry the router, as no -or not much power should pass through the Ethernet cable. I personally prefer having them connected directly to the power outlet to ensure there's no issues with cheap extensions. You can get powerline adapters that have a power passthrough, so you can plug another device in to get power.
