Asus Q400a Not Powering

So after I built my first rig around a year ago, I stopped using my Asus Q400a Laptop that I've been using for a good 2 years or so. But not too long after building my rig I check on my laptop to see that it didn't work. I saw that the LED's that indicate that the computer is charging is not lighting up. I eventually left that aside for about a year and I'm just now getting around to try and get this fixed. I know that the issue is not the battery but probably the AC Power Jack on the laptop itself. I read up on it and found that I would need to replace the AC Power Jack and to replace it, I would need to sotter it on. At this point and time, I don't really have access to any soldering tools and don't really want to spend that much time soldering a power jack onto my laptop. I want to be able to use my laptop once again and was wondering if there maybe be any alternatives or if my observations were incorrect. Care to give me any solutions?
