RAID 0 HDDs

For mass storage I usually use RAID 5/10 because for mass storage I dont care about speed but I like knowing that if one fails, I wont lose everything.

Is it worth it? The HDDs will only be used for mass storage.

Hey there Rienks,

RAID0 offers a good speed increase, but does not provide any redundancy at all and involves a higher risk of drive failure and data loss. For simple mass storage I wouldn't go with Striping. I would consider either using the drives separately or consider another type of RAID that involves some level of redundancy (RAID1, RAID5, RAID6, RAID10).
What and how many drives do you have? What are you looking to store on them?
