DD3 vs DDR4

If we dont think about power savings, would a 2133 DDR3 RAM stick be the same as a 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM stick?

Or would the DDR4 RAM stick still have a higher data rate?

IIRC DDR4 would still have a higher data rate b/c of it's new technology

DDR4 is faster, however unless you're doing certain tasks that lean heavily on your RAM (typically heavy graphical editing) there is no meaningful difference to the human using the computer at this point.

For gamers out there, I really don't think it will make any difference at all. Games aren't necessarily CPU based, although we want them to be shared with the cpu and gpu like pascal is proposed to offer in 2016. Eventually ddr4 will beat out ddr3, but ddr4 is simply an improvement in bandwidth and speed of RAM...

Thanks for the answers, although i only wanted to know this because i have a report to make about it, and i have like 200 tabs open, all telling a different story
