So I have a Wacom intuos5 drawing tablet, and the series has a serious problem, the usb port disconnects, for me, it ripped off the copper trace as well... I cant fix the trace, so im going to wire it another way

so Im going to get the wireless accessory kit for a different power input

battery specs in the image attached, the other side is blank

so, a few questions,

should I but a wired charger, and connect that directly to the tablet

should I connect both a battery and a detachable charger

or should i find a way to charge the battery externally

also, would a usb cable be able to power this?

It will work all fine but the delema is what pin on  the usb port is broken. If its a positive or negative pin that wouldn't work i don't think.

But if it is a signal pin (if i rember correctly the two inner pins) you should in theory be fine

EDIT: and it shouldn't madder how you charge it

I am a happy wuffy

what i want to do is use usb or a charger to power the tablet through the battery pins, then use the wireless to connect to the computer, there is no way to reattach any of the usb connections other than the ground

so usb being 5v (battery being 3.7) wont be a problem?

Yeah built in the tablet will be a charging circut to keep everything nice and smooth

Edit: just makin sure does the tablet have a secant power input besides USB?

Sorry for my spelling im not the best. Im a little confuzed right now

you want to connect directly to the battery to power the tablet?

i want to either charge the battery, power the tablet, or charge the battery while powering the tablet,

so either

the power source connects to the battery connectors

the power source connects to the battery its self while its connected to the tablet

or

the power source charges the battery while it is disconnected from the tablet (least preferable as ill never know when the battery is fully charged and ill end up over charging diminishing the battery's lifespan
