So i had windows home premium that i bought, I then upgraded to windows 10 the day it came out and reverted because it was causing lag. I then found a "teacher" edition Windows disk and key (it just allows unlimited use of the key) and now i want to upgrade to windows 10 again and it wont let me. It tells me its ready to update and all i have to do is restart but its just restarts normally and opens up windows updates and says "windows 10 is ready to install" and tells me to restart again. I have restarted 10+ times with no luck. could the teacher edition code be the problem? if so, how do i revert back to home premium with the single use key? Thanks for any help

If you need to re-use the single key, contact MS (there's a link posted somewhere on their site). In my experience they are pretty decent and allow the key to be re-used again and again, as long as its on the same PC.

Good luck
