LG 34UM56?

Go to solution Solved by reliagility,

I couldn't find any reviews either.  The difference between the 34UM56 and the 34UM95 is that the resolution is 2560x1080, as opposed to 3440 x 1440.   I ordered it today.  I'll let you know how it is in about a week or so...  Not sure what the distinction is between the 34UM56 and 34UM67...

I've been wanting a new monitor for a while, and Ultrawide is really the only thing I really want.  Even though it doesn't have the highest resolution, it shouldn't be that big of a deal since the PPI is barely different than the ones I have now.

The problem with this monitor is I can't find any information anywhere on it.  There aren't any reviews on Amazon or any other website for that matter, but it is really reasonably priced.  Would it be worth it to get this monitor or would I be better off spending a bit more and getting the 34UM67 instead which is a lot better known?

Just receved the 34UM56 today.  I really like it.

Cons:  It does not have speakers and the base seems like a cheap piece of plastic.  The instructions were all in Korean.  The power supply was the 220v type which is made for the European and Asian markets, but an adapter was included.  FYI - There were two tiny screws included that you mustn't lose track of (they are for the monitor stand).  I almost lost them because they were in a tiny plastic bag.

Pros:  Looks great!  No dead or stuck pixels that I can see.  Cheaper than similar models.  Arrived quickly.  Pretty cool screen sizing software.  Worked flawlessly with Windows 8.
