Using an external DVD reader to install Windows

Go to solution Solved by SPAS-ID,

You can, i did it myself just set the Boot Into the External Drive

In my new PC build I'm going with a NZXT s340 and since it doesnt have a slots for internal disk drives on the case I was going to get an external dvd reader. I was wondering if I got a Windows install dvd if I would be able to use the external to install windows, would this work because I would be opening it from the Bios?

If you can navigate the BIOS and switch the boot orders and identify the USB device then yes you can install it off of an external DVD
