It's either your PC on LSD or your bad GPU, if you're overclocking you need to lower it and see if it repairs. Or try booting with just one, then try the other to see if it's a single or both are faulty

Hello all.

So I removed the HDMI cable and DVI cable (I use 2 screens) from GPU 1 and put them in GPU 2. What happened was the screen didn't get a signal from the PC until the windows log in screen. So I didn't see the artifacts or even the BIOS screen.

Then I put the HDMI and DVI back into GPU 1. When I did that, I got the process of a start up, but I don't get the screen that shows your BIOS manufacturer (The screen that says "Press 12 for BIOS, Press 10 etc). I think maybe the screen with the artifacts is meant to be the BIOS startup screen thing? O.o

While I wait for more replies, I'll try using onboard graphics. :)

Thanks

Edit: Using onboard gives the same results as GPU 2.

Edit 2: I'm all not overclocking anything. :)

Anyone have any other ideas? I'm running it using onboard graphics and it works fine, no artifacting. Could it be the motherboard?

Try each card individually. One of them is artifacting

I've tried both in both pcie slots. Atm I'm talking to the vendor where I purchased the cards, he thinks it might be software or the motherboard. So I'm going to try a fresh windows install and see how that goes. :)

It's not impossible that the motherboard has a broken slot or something else. What PSU do you have?

I have an EVGA 1000W.

then it's likely not the PSU

My current MB is pretty old. It's a z68ap-d3. I was going to wait a while before I upgraded, but may as well do it now and see if it's the MB before I RMA the cards. I think my current MB runs the cards slower because of the PCIE lanes, or something? Can you reccommend me a new MB please. (I have an i5-3570k).

Just borrowed a 760 from my cousin, it works fine. So it's the 390 GPU's...3 dead cards, of the same brand/make in a row... :(

You should change the Brand than.
