You don't need an i7 a i5 will do just fine#

That PSU that bad getting something like a XFX TS instead

I would recommend a different mobo since that one really isn't good price to features ratio

I would go EVGA for Nvidia but you could also consider R9 390 which can be found a tad cheaper in some places and has more Vram and same performance but it's mainly preference.

                                                                                                                 Setup

CPU: i3 4160|Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE|RAM: Kingston HyperX Blue 8GB(2x4GB)|GPU: Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4GB|PSU: Seasonic M12II EVO 620W Modular|Storage: 1TB WD Blue|Case: NZXT S340 Black|PCIe devices: TP-Link WDN4800| Montior: ASUS VE247H| Others: PS3/PS4

What settings do you plan on using; do you want 1080p ultra, or perhaps 4k medium; are you going to use it for a purpose other than gaming (ie: video editing); are you planning to overclock ? (If yes, then you should consider an aftermarket cooler). You are going to need more than 240 gb for gaming.

FIRST!  with the 4790k, sure an i5 will be fine, BUT getting a better CPU helps future proofing your product allowing for longer time until the next upgrade is needed.  Generally motherboards and CPU upgrades go together, so that will help u save 400$ until the next upgrade. Everything else is really fine.  I would suggest an EVGA board as opposed to ASUS BUT it seems that the only z97 EVGA boards available is the classified which is 200$  EVGA boards are quite good, and there support is excellent, far better then anyone else, but for about 115$ the z97-E from asus sounds like a better deal.  I think your PSU will be fine, corsair makes quality products but EVGA PSUs have a significantly longer warrantee and I would suggest going with one of those.  the 970 should be good also.

IMPORTANT! I think your spending too much on your ssd. go for a Samsung 850.  175$ on amazon for 500gb. with a 10 year warrantee

@NikeTaken

for processor  - i5-4690k - i7 is too overkill
for graphic card -Asus NVIDIA Strix GTX 970 4 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
motherboard - Asus Intel Z97-C Motherboard
ram - Corsair 8 GB DDR3 Desktop Ram - You only need 8GB for gaming
power supply - Corsair HX750 - The VS is bad and untrustworthy
hard disk -Intel 530 240GB
case  - DEEPCOOL KENDOMEN TI MID TOWER

cooler - Hyper 212 Evo (or Corsair H100i if you want but it is a bit over kill but you "might" be able to over clock more)

fans - 3 x corsair hf fans (for case)

Here, save you loads of money for same performance and longer life

CPU: i5 4670k @ 3.4GHz + Corsair H100i      GPU: Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC (+215 Core|+162 Mem)     SSD: Kingston V300 240GB (OS)      Headset: Logitech G930

Case: Cosair Vengance C70 (white)                RAM: 16GB TeamGroup Elite Black DDR3 1600MHz       HDD: 1TB WD Blue                              Mouse: Logitech G602

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium                       PSUXFX Core Edition 750w                                                Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45               Keyboard: Logitech G510

Trust me you get hyper threading with the i7 4790k, (not with the i5) so your talking 8 logical threads as opposed to 4 on the i5.  Its a safe bet for longer lasting performance.  With the i5, give it a year, that thing will become a total bottleneck in games, I have a system with the 4690k, sure its doing the job now, but in whicher 3, CodAW GTAV, its staying in the 70% to 100% load. My rig with the 4790k clocked at 5Ghz never goes over 50% while gaming on dual 980s, at 5760x1200.  The i7 is the way to go.
