Hi guys I'm new to tech so i don't know so much about it. My friends helped me build a parts list but what i want to do is make a page where people can post their parts lists and other people can tell them if they need any thing added to it or if some stuff isn't going to work or just generally help them ill post my parts list and hopefully someone can tell me if i need to change anything and they can also help you. Maybe we could even get this pinned :)

Get the cheapest possible Haswell i5 it makes basically no difference

Don't get Gigabyte they are bad for AMD GPUs go for a MSI, Powercolor or Sapphire(best one) 390

You don't really need a cooler but if you feel like you want it then go ahead

I wouldn't get that motherboard unless it's cheap at the price point

I would get a better case for cable management and expansion like the Define S, Arc Midi R2 or S340

Also change that PSU unless you want the PC to be a bonfire to cook your meat

                                                                                                                 Setup

If you don't want OC, go for the 4460 or if you want skylake, they have adjustable BCLK, which means that the 6400 might (yes, I am not sure whether the 6400 could be overclocked. If you want to take your chances, get an i5-6400 and a Z170 board) be able to be overclocked.

P.S. I don't think DDR3-1866 is supported on an H97 Chipset. Even if it does, it would run at a lower speed (possible DDR3-1333 or 1600)

NEED X58 BOARD WITH SATA3 ASAP

I would actually reccomend getting a better CPU, because there is barely a price difference anyway between the brand new i5 6600 "Skylake" chip and the 4690. It will give more room for upgradability too as Z170 is the newest chipset. Here is a link to a pretty good deal on one for very similar price:

As far as motherboards, it only really depends on whether you want to use Crossfire, as with a non K processor you won't be overclocking. Here is one that should be fine with all your other parts and will also have Crossfire support for again, upgradability.
