Radiator Air flow clearance

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

in the 900D a 60mm plus 1 normal fan just touches the 1st bay, so I have the thickness of a standard disk drive, what's that like 5cm? is there that much a benefit of the 60mm over the 30 in this instance, the other 2 rads for 3 GPU's and a CPU?

thats enough space then, it will work fine

Need an opinion

in my up and coming 900D build, I am planning on putting a 60mm 480 and 240 rad in the bottom, that will all fit fine, then I was planning a 30mm 480 in the top, then I thought that if I put the blu ray drive in the 4th bay instead of the second, and up the fan controller in 2 & 3 ( dual bay drive ) I should still get enough air flow to the rad to actually work to its full potential, as the fan controller is fairly open at the back minus the cables, so should be fine right? I have attached an image of said controller in case people want to check it.

yeah if the rad fits above it then it will be fine

just remember the thickness of rad+fans needs to fit between the top of the case and that controller
