Bluetooth headset mic W/ PC

So i was looking around on amazon for a bluetooth headset for my phone and I found that people buy bluetooth headsets and a little USB Bluetooth dongle for their PC.

So i was curious:

Can you use a USB Bluetooth Dongle with a Bluetooth headset that has a mic on it for a phone but use it to talk on like skype/teamspeak on PC?

Just a curious thought!

Thanks

most of the time no, the microphones on those type of headphones are built for cell phones. but it would help to know what model you have.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I've had good success with most of the newer ones (especially the 2 channel ones, as they normally appear as 2 playback devices... one mono device for comm purposes and one stereo device for general audio).

I prefer PC bluetooth headsets over mobile phone bluetooth headsets, however.

I dont have the headphones. I was just looking at a pair that  got reviewed pretty highly on amazon that is bluetooth and has 2 40mm drivers in it. I can't remember the name at this moment. But it was made for phones and i saw the headphones and that dongle on the frequently purchased toghether thing. Got me thinking but I guess my thinking may be wrong.

I've had good experience with the Logitech H800 for both PCs and phones. I wasn't expecting much when I got them, but they were surprisingly quite good for the price (as long as you're not comparing them to wired headsets). They don't play loud and aren't the most revealing headsets, but they are great for regular communication use and offer reasonable music reproduction.
