ok so i have a 300mbps TP-link tl-WN881ND wifi card and when i first installed it, the internet was fine. it was super quick and i loved it. then my computer got filled with so much malware, trotions and viruses and stuff like that, that i had to whip my hard drive and re-install windows and now my internet is just not the same. i avarage around 32mbps and it varies from 1-72 mbps. please help because i dont know how to fix this issue... im running 64bit windows 7 ultimate
amd sapphire 79 270 gpu

8gb crucial ballistics ram

500W psu

Gigabyte 970A-UD3P motherboard

amd FX6300 black edition cpu

whats your internet speed? 

 

and did you re install the drivers for the card?

my internet speed of my router is 300mbps but im litteraly getting 42 mbps right now. i have updated and re-installed all drivers thismorning and it did not help

not your router dude your actual internet speed, your router could be 7 billion gbs but if your internet speed is only 10Mbs you will only get like maybe 1Mbs around there

You should test between a wired PC and the wireless PC if you have two PCs on your LAN (Home network). Using your WAN (Outside) connection to test is going to be quite random and your testing a lot more than just the wifi connection. Just transfer back and forth a multi-gigabyte file and multiply the MB/s speed windows eventually says by 8 to get your mbps speed of your wifi.

Can you check the crude signal strength from the PC side and router interface. What wifi router/wifi ap do you have by the way?

Just to make sure have you checked to make sure the antennas are tightened moving them around can make them loosen pretty easily. To tighten you need to grab the knurled part which is right where the connector is.
