Help needed! Building a workstation pc

Kevin_

Currently I am running http://pcpartpicker.com/p/n8x6gs as my work and play rig. It works great for both but I've saved up ruffly $2,500 USD and i'm looking for something for work.

I'm a video editor and my clients are starting to want 4K video so i need something that'll render 4K files in a timely manner.I render using GPU and the program I use takes advantage of CUDA cores or something like that. I'm not too tech savvy but i'm sure someone understands what i'm trying to say. Peripherals aren't necessary ill handle that part of this. Thanks.

P.S. I'd love for it to be in a black and green theme also I've had my eye on this case for it http://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-phes515ebk

For the parts, have you considered spraying them? It may be easier to choose parts then.

I expect you to be keeping your current PC alone elsewhere. If you will however sacrifice that one and upgrade it, adding two 980 tis and maybe that 1230 V3 + more RAM is the best value option..

From my experience, CUDA acceleration is very powerful. Also, the Quadro is not a very good option. Quadros are very expensive for what FP32 performance they deliver. They however compete at FP64 as Nvidia is nerfing gaming cards and do have 10 bit color depth output.

Considering you got Storage already, why not bring them across to the new Build that way you can keep costs down. For some green accents Get some Cable Mod Cables, and swap out the 2GPUS with some Stock Cooler ones

Sweet, if you want to spend a little extra for looks (and if you use a windowed case) you could add some custom sleeved cables. They look great! https://mainframecustom.com/
