I'm not sure what happened to my computer, it just randomly start lagging in game, browsing internet or watching twitch. In game i noticed that the fps counter suddenly drops till 1-3 fps and the screen will only move for in between of few second. During non-gaming everything is lagging except my mouse are able to move freely. This happened like once a day which is very annoying. The story behind is recently i unplug my Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming card out due to faulty PSU and sent it for warranty so i was using intel graphic with an old PSU until i get the new PSU. After i installed the new PSU and updated my graphic driver in Geforce Experince this seems to start happening.

Computer Spec :

CPU: i7-4790k @ 4.00 GHz

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming

Mobo: Asus Z97-A

PSU: CM V750 80 Gold

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

RAM: 16gb Kingston Hyperx Fury Black 1866mhz

GeForce Driver : Version 355.82

Addition info : I was able to open TechPowerUp GPU-Z and found out that the GPU Load is sitting at 95% without any game running in background. All the above are not overclocked, only graphic card are pre OC by Gigabyte.

Adware/Malware removal - The first three don't need to be installed, just download and run, scan/remove/restart.

AdwCleaner - https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

Junkware Removal Tool utility - http://thisisudax.org/downloads/JRT.exe

“HitmanPro.exe” (for 32-bit versions of Windows) or “HitmanPro_x64.exe” (for 64-bit versions of Windows) - http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

Anti-Malware - https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/

Many different types of Adware/Malware exist, best to use multiple programs to really seek out the nasties.

These programs work really well when I work with client issues.

Have you made sure to disable the onboard again now your using the 970? And made sure you have the monitor in the 970, not the onboard.
Did you use DDU (DisplayDriverUninstaller) first before doing driver installs... maybe its worth the shot, it fix's a lot of random GPU related issues.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

How do i check whether i have disable the onboard graphic? I think its auto disable as i try to plug a monitor to onboard graphic when using the gtx 970 and nothing happened. What do you mean by seeing DDU doing the driver installs? I update the driver through the GeForce Experince tho and they did have the installing bar running when i update it.

After i have used Anti-Malware scan for an hour, i couldn't find any bitcoin miner but i did get some malware and removed. But the problem still occur and seem to be more serious as the mouse become laggy too and i was thinking to take screenshot but after few minutes the screen completely freeze.

Currently i'm trying to use other program you had mentioned to check whether any other malware.

By the sounds of it, Onboard is disabled when using the dedicated 970,... by the way you typed that.. which is good.

DDU is a program, to cleanout a driver install (using normal methods can leave things behind, this does not)

If your PC is freezing you may not have a chance to run it.

Should be able to run it in safe mode.

Can you provide a screenshot of TaskManager (before it freezes?) <- could be impossible.

If the machine is rendered USELESS by these problems, freezing a lot and impossible to diagnose..... take HDD out, backup files, format and reinstall Windows.

I had run all the program you suggested and the problem still occur. This time it occur during/after i finish render a video clip using Vegas Pro 13. I was able to take a screenshot before it freezing under lagging state which 2/3 second per frame. In addition i accidentally clicked sleep rather then restart in the start menu and it end up going in black screen with monitor on and can't do anything.

During lagging state :

How about a Rootkit?.. Wouldn't be detected by the virus/malware scanners.
