So I've just ordered a corsair 450d mid tower with thermaltake riing red led fans to populate my front intake 140's, h110i gtx cooler fans and my exhaust 120. However, I feel like I want to put some additional led light strips around the case window, maybe like a dim glow of white, but I preferably want RGB lighting.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Peter.

For RGB LED's they won't produce a clean white color since they mix all three colors to produce white so a single color strip would be best or an RGBW which has a separate chip for produce white light would work good.

For general RGB LED's Modguru, or Icemodz are awesome, I've tried single color ones from AddonCustoms and they are amazing also.

do you think already having led fans at the top of the case will mix well with other led omitting strips or would it just be overkill?

The LED's from fans aren't super bright so I usually recommend regular fans and LED lights to evenly light the components, but if you want the look of that halo or glow through the mesh LED fans are the only things that can really do that.

If you want your case to be very bright then LED strips would work great or to have them dimmed down for an ambient type of glow.

Personally I recommend this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QAX8YPY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00

My build is all white themed and they do a great job as you can see in my signature.

Nice, post some pictures as well.

Look at this one, I only have 1 out of the 2 strips that come in that kit, it's installed up there in the space between the radiator and the front panel.

I only used one as well, put it at the bottom of my case next to the PSU, also took the stickers off the fans to really emphasise the riings
