getting g-sync with a 980ti?

Is it worth? I heard g-sync is useful when your frames are all over the place so I'm guessing with lower end cards it'll be usefull but what about a 980ti? I'm asking since I'm in a really tight budget, I've pretty much spend all my money on the PC and I'd prefer to not pay 200 bucks more on a monitor just because of one feature but if it's truly worth I'll have to get it

so this is a personal thing since i have a freesync monitor and see minor improvement in the difference but this depends on the person so if you have a tight budget i wouldn't go for it and instead get a better gpu/cpu or ssd for instance

already have a 980ti and a 6700K but yeah I'm afraid to waste 500 bucks on a monitor only for a minor diffrence which I could probably live without

well if you have those already i would go with a LG ultrawide 1440p monitor since then you will really see a difference
