csgo keeps freezing

hi, i just built a pc for my friend and im testing it and gettin it ready for him but when i play csgo it randomly freezes and it doesnt recover. the screen frezzes and the sound is in a loop. i have used the gpu before on my build as it is my old gpu so i dont know what the problem is.

i7 5820K @ 4.4GHz | Evga GTX 980ti Superclocked | MSI X99 Sli Plus | 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 | EVGA 850W Gold+ | 2TB HDD and 250GB SSD

Unstable overclock?

nothing has been overclocked. its just standard build. i5 6600k and gtx 760

other games play fine but the specs are:

 

i5 6600K @3.5Ghz

GTX 760 2GB

MSI z170A pro Gaming Motherboard

2x4GB HyperX fury 2133GHz DDR4

240GB Kingston SSD

1TB Western Digital HDD

evo 212 air cooling
