Wipe & backup

Hello! ^^

I'm planning to flash a new rom on my e975

I'm not really skilled in flashing and I do not have second device to make experements)

so...Just some small questions

If I make a backup in CWM

then wipe data/factory reset:

1) will it erase my personal files? Sms, photo, etc? and backup I've made?

2) If i'll flash m backup after wipe everything will be OK, and work as I left it, right?
