Can an external lavalier Microphone through the 3.5mm Jack on the Nokia Lumia 435. I need to know if I have to buy a separate audio recorder.

You can, but the mic has to use the 4 pole aux connector or needs and adapter(if it uses the regular 3 pole aux connector). It should look like this:
