Product key doesnt work

So I wiped my laptop HDD and installed windows again, I skipped the part of the installation where you have to put the key in. Using the script in the atachment file I got my key, but it doesnt work. It just sais that the key is wrong. Maybe beacause the laptop came with windows 8? Anyway, I'd appreciate if you guys could help me.

If you installed Windows 8.1, and the key is Windows 8, it will not work.

The laptop came with windows 8 preinstalled and i updated to windows 10 like 2 weeks ago, but I had to wipe the drive cause of some sofware problems

And Windows was activated when I upgrade

That's because that script is getting the key from the registry and your registry is on the hard drive you wiped. The original one will have been replaced by a new, temporary Windows 10 key.

This will get the key from your bios. I know it's slightly shady, but it worked for me.
