So I have 2666Mhz DDR4 and my Asus x99 pro default speed is 2133mhz.

 

When I go into bios>advanced>Aitweeker> Dram Freq.   and set it to 2666Mhz the system will not boot.  

 

Q code leds read  "bd" and the Dram led lights up red....  so Im doin something wrong..  not much in this mobo manual...  can you guys help?

 

 

 

System works fine otherwise..  Im doing renders inVue on this it renders much faster than last computer...

overclock the cpu and enable X.M.P. in teh mobo bios

no Ive not overcloked the cpu..  was thinking of doing things one at a time.

 

Due cpu and memory have to be overclocked at the same time?

 

In asus bios isnt there a simple way to overclock cpu?

 

I have not enabled X.M.P profile #1 because I dont know whats in that profile.
