Do i need 4k or.......

So as we all know Asus is coming out with some new displays. Monitors in question are the PG279Q IPS and the PG27AQ 4k. I have already decided on getting a 2nd monitor for my setup and its between the two because I already have a Swift and it would look nice having matching displays. So if I got the 279Q  I would be getting IPS, dont really care for the 160+ refresh rate.  I have never experienced 4k so I was going to get that but at 27" im not sure what to expect.  What monitor would you go with? Already dead set on getting one of the two but if you must recommend another monitor go ahead.

Things that I do if they will help you decided on what I rout I should go:

I do Hard core FFXIV raiding, no server firsts or anything but then again we don't raid 7 days a week. I also play many FPS games and any new big games that come out. I do some video editing on the weekends but its all GoPro video from my DirtBike/ ATV rides.

Running 2 Asus 980ti's is Sli

i7 5820k, Asus Deluxe x99 3.1 board, 2 Strix980tis Sli, Intel 480gb SSD, 4T WD Black, Asus PG278Q, Acer xb271hu, UpDesk!

I'd probably go 1440p.

Yeah unless I had dual 980tis or something 4k would be useless to me

It may be worth noting that the PG279Q is a 144Hz monitor, the PG27AQ can be 75Hz at most.

Yeah the 279Q is 165hz but Like I said im not worried about the Refresh rate sense I already have one that will do 144hz which is plenty for me.
