So my PC will randomly decide to reboot at completely arbitrary times after booting. It is a relatively new problem and happens at light loads as well as heavy loads. I have tried to fix it by resetting the UEFI to its original settings but to no avail. I thought that it might be overheat protection of some kind but it still happens when all the fans are set to full power.

Can anyone help??

No, the last update was yesterday. I have gone into the reliability monitor of the control panel and it has said that there were 10 critical events that were unexpected shutdowns this morning alone.

restarts how exactly? is it updating?

I need an ID 4-5 numbers.

But bevore that. Remove the PSU cable, open your Case and gently pull on the Cooler on all 4 edges. Intel Coolers can get lose over time. I little bit of tiny space between CPU and Cooler is enough to eliminate all cooling.

Just make sure the Cooler sits 100%. If thats not the case, remove it completly, replace Termal Paste and attach it again.

It also doesn't seem to be doing it with the side panel off

As in it doesnt reboot? That almost certainly sounds like a heat issue.

I have already checked it, it is in securely will all 4 pins pushed through to the other side.

And you cant move the Cooler at all? Like i said, the smallest amount of space and your cooling is gone.

Can't move the cooler at all. It has now been 1.5 hours without a reboot so I don't know if the rebooting things is temporary

I quess you have a smartphone, make a picture of your open case. Im sure you have a Heat Problem.

The problem there is that none of my friends have a PC their built themselves, is there any way of testing it myself? It

It is a good idea to get your own PSU tester. They don't cost much and are a quick way to diagnose if the PSU is the problem. If it isn't, great, now you know for sure it isn't the PSU and you can move on. As far as heat goes it isn't a bad idea to remove the cooler and reapply paste. make sure to clean both surfaces with 80 to 90% rubbing alcohol. the stock paste isn't very good I recommend arctic silver. But regardless of how well the cooler is attached if there isn't enough airflow in the case the CPU or some OTHER component my be overheating. Post a pic of your case indicating the direction of the air-flow. On your case you want: Front in, side in, top out, back out. As the PC sits now put your hand behind one of the exhaust fans. If it is really hot or you can barely feel it you probably need more fans.
