Building a computer

Go to solution Solved by Wufflez,

Yes it is USD.

Should I save my money and raise my budget or keep it about the same?

$1500 is a huge budget if you don't want something over kill. Even so, here's something to get you started. It's got all the best parts for the money and you won't be needing an upgrade for a long time.

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($109.99 @ Best Buy)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($132.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($89.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB Nitro Video Card  ($314.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.99 @ NZXT)
Total: $1171.61
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Still there's room for changes like a 970 for less power and less heat but a slight performance hit. A different cpu cooler but if you just want it for aesthetics this will do. Any z97 motherboard will do as long as it has what you need. And whatever case you like as long as everything fits.

I just started to make my first computer. This is the setup.

If you have any suggestions or hints to what parts I need please mention it.

;)

what are you going to use it for?

if you just want to game on this thing you would be better off getting a I5 4690K and spending the saved money on a better GPU!

Alright, so, that CPU is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too fast for that graphics card. That cooler won't help as you can't OC on H81, the 960 (In most regions) is not the best value, DVD drives will likely not come in useful.

you actually can on some motherboards after you update the BIOS

Is that so? I was not aware. I was under the assumption that that is only supported by the G3258. It is likely that I am wrong.

CPU i5 4690k, more than enough power and 100$ less.

SSD Samsung 850EVO 250 - 500GB. 125GB are not enough.

If Corsair PSU, get a RMi. Its higher Quality and you should aim for 650w+ for future GPU upgrade.

What Display do you have?
