R9 390x, Whats your experience with it?

Samblues

Hey,

I've watched many videos and read some reviews but almost EVERY video/benchmark shows me different things. Some say the 970/390 is on par with the MSI r9 390x, others say 390x beats the 980 in some games if not its on par with it.

What are your experiences with the r9 390x in terms of fps on games.

Is it enough for all current games 1080p Ultra settings average 60fps +

(MG, Mad max, Star Citizen,  Arma ect)

I'm quite confused to whether the 980 is worth the money, im not a fanboy and i'm here for the card.

I stream and do youtube so would like to have a smooth gaming experience and be able to record/stream high quality videos.

Also if you have 390x in crossfire whats your performance?

Help me fellow PC Master race :)

From what I've seen, all the video that R9 390X beats GTX980 is because the res is on 4K, and I'm pretty sure if you makes it two cards CF or sli, dualR9 390X can be even more powerful than dual 980. It doesn't means that R9 390X can perform in 1080P as good as 980 because they are very different cards. In 1080P, 980 can performs better(maybe just 5fps more),in 2K they are became very close and in 4K 390x became better. The games you said they are not very demanding so even a 970 can max out your game.
