GPU sag, should I worry?

this is my build.

 

 

It seems to me, that the GPU is quite bent. Can I damage my PCIe slot? Should I redo the build? 

 

I tried to fasten the screws, mess with the cables, but they are not pulling it down. The only other option could be, the tubing, try to shorten it.

 

 

What do you think?

It's fine for now, you can buy stuff to hold,it up that looks good. Nice Rig also.

It should be fine, that's just normal GPU sag, my Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming is by the looks of it just as bad with sagging as your GPU is (If not worse), and it works fine.

Nah, RAMs aren't doing it. There is lot of space in between.

My 6950 is bend to hell because it's so heavy, and it's still fine.

Just keep an eye on temps, because of the weight the cooler didn't make good contact and that kiled it (i had 2)

 

so it's fine, but reapply the block once a year to make sure it keeps making proper contact.

my ghetto fix would be to remove the backplate and bent it a bit in the opposite direction. When you screw it back on the card should straighten out. Only do it at your own risk!

Alright then. It should be fine anyway. But you can try to find some plastic support that matches your build somehow, (some hard red tube perhaps?) that can hold the card and that can match your build. Dont push the card too hard tho, Just a little bit to protect it from benting more. I dont think there's an easy way fixing the PCB as it is right now, because you can damage it and break the card.

Yeah, that's relatively normal.

 

You could try to prop it up with something if you're concerned about it potentially sagging further and even breaking apart under its own weight, but that's very unlikely to happen for a long time yet. Just prop it up with something; that should be fine.

One thing that also works is to tie some fishing wire on the very end of the GPU and then tighten the string to the roof of the case. You can't see the wire and the sag is gone

I have identified the source of the problem.

 

It is the combination of the size of the GPU's PCB and location of SATA ports on MOBO.

 

The main problem is, that due to the size of GPU it does not sit in the PCIE slot well, because it is lying on one of the SATA ports. And due to it, it is bending.

 

There is nothing I can do, except for somehow supporting it.

You can buy bracket-thingies and GPU supports if you're worried about damaging the PCIe port

I am not alone, seems like Classified cards have some issues

They have big heavy Coolers, and then the ek waterblocks are probably heavier.

Easy fix is to use your cables as a support, either use the cable management grommet above the card to pull it up, Scythe used to make some ninja hook things that helped fix GPU sag but they seem to not make them anymore. Tbh sag has never bothered me, just seems to be a pointless anal thing to worry about. If you made the tube from the GPU to the rad a bit tighter it might help pull it up, as you're using compression fittings, if you tightened them right up you'd be fine, that is the whole point of compression fittings anyway.
