Automatically activate tablet mode?

Hello, my girlfriend has a Lenovo Yoga 500 (awesome laptop, truly recommend it) and I have a small problem with it. I like to use it as a tablet. Windows 10 has a tablet mode and a function to activate it automatically when a keyboard is disconnected. The problem is that the keyboard just disables it self when you flip the screen around. It does not disconnect so tablet mode isn't activated automatically as I'd like it to do.
 

 

Is there a solution to this?

Also, I'd want to automatically open the onscreen keyboard to pop up when you touch the search bar (like on a phone), is this possible?

Check and see if there is any driver updates for the yoga, my 2-in-1's tablet mode worked out of the box with the same drivers. (Inspiron 13 7438)
