Help me pick a GPU

So this is my first ever rig that i've put together myself, i'm trying to get into PC gaming.... and i need your help picking a GPU, i have a budget of 150$ for this GPU, and i do not want an AMD processor because i want that upgradability option in the future. Previously i had a GTX 760, and then people told me i should get i 950, and then someone said i should get a r9 285, i'm just so confused and i really need some advice here. thx for your precious time

BTW i have not purchased any of the items yet so let me know if i should make any changes OTHER than the cpu, just as long as the build's total cost is 450$

950 is better then a 270, but a 270x is slightly better.

If you can expand budget a little bit shoot for a 270x or 280
