Trying to make an autoexec for csgo, last step is to type "exec autoexec.cfg" to the main config file but notepad++ wont let me type anything in there. Any suggestions?

No i dont mean the in game commands, im talking about the csgo main config file with all the settings. I have the file with the commands i want but you need to type "exec autoexec.cfg" to the csgo config folder (its not the one with your own settings).

You can just add "-exec autoexec" without quotes in your csgo launch options to run the file when the game starts. No need to edit the config.cfg file.

The config.cfg way is not great anyway, since you need to set the file to read only after adding the line, which means you can't change any csgo settings after doing that.

Edit: you should also add "host_writeconfig" without quotes at the end of you autoexec.cfg file, which writes the settings to other files.
