Anyone with After Effects experience... help.

Hi guys,

Really noob question here, but in AE how do I see in my timeline more than 10 frames? See the image for more detailed idea of what I think is possible...

If I want to see like, 10 seconds how would I go about doing that?

Thanks heaps.

snip

Change composition settings and set a longer duration.

If you are working with video clips, better to import the clips first and right click on them "make new composition from video" so that it will match the video's length.

ALT + scroll wheel on the mouse, or use the mountain slider at the bottom of the screen.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

That's for zooming in and out. Not for changing the duration of a composition.

It was not that easy to see that the comp was only 10 frames.

Besides, I have seen people who had trouble with could not find zoom out.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

@ALwin

Thanks very much mate, worked great. Trust me to set it to 10 frames...

Yeah at 24fps, your composition is just shy of being 0.5 seconds long.  :D  More than enough time for Light to travel roughly 150,000 kilometers or circle the globe about 3.5 times.

First you need to extend your composition to more than 10 frames. Then you can use the slider below the timeline to scale how much you see. Like full 10 min or like 10 frames
