Hi Guys,

So I have been running Windows 8.1 for a good 5 months now and I have to say at first I was very skeptical as I was going from Windows 7 which I was so used too!!!! But now I am used to it I am loving it except for one issue which is quite big for me!!! I have a big issue with the volume control when using my volume + and - buttons on my USB key board!

And I play alot of BF4 and I also play music while I game on occasion and sometimes I use TS as well so getting volume set up right it key for me. And when I press one of the buttons on my keyboard the volume slider UI shows at top right and then the volume slider shoots right up to the top and then just stays there at max volume and the UI does not go away. Even if I tap the button once just very quickly this happens!!!

Same when I use the down button, one press and it shoots to the bottom. I have to restart to re gain control of my volume and I have to use the mouse on the slider at the bottom right to adjust it back to normal.

Does anyone else have these issues? I am currently not running any kind of MB driver for the sound and I have tried alot of different drivers for the sound including the latest from asrock and even older ones and it has not made any difference and just added a useless EQ tuning program as far as I am concerned!! Does anyone have any fixes???

I have tried other guides online but they just dont seem to work at all for me :(

Thanks for help in advance!!!

You can set keyboard shortcuts for volume up and down and also scroll on any of the four sides of the screen to increase or decrease volume. There are hell a lot of options in this. If you need an alternative you can try 3rvx:http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/3r1c-Volume-Control.shtml but its not stable like the volume2.
