I've recently built a new PC, (collection of new parts, and older) but have been having  cooling issues

I have an AMD FX-6120 CPU

and just picked up this cpu cooler from a local electronics store (didn't plan on overclocking or intense gaming, figured this would cut it.)

When i just turn on my PC and load up to my desktop, my temps will sit around 35-45C. I open up a youtube video and reddit, my temps are between 47-53C. This is alright..... however when i start something like League of Legends, or my capture software for my HDPVR and OBS, my temps hit 60-75C.

I recently cleaned off the CPU of old thermal paste and re-applied new paste.  All other computer components are at normal temps. Do I just need a better cooler? Another fan? What are some good options for a good price? Am I risking shortening my CPU's lifespan or am I just overreacting?

Note: I have this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811345051

Thanks.

Are you sure the cooler is mounted correctly?

The FX-6 series shouldn't hit tempretures above 70c since they start throtteling there, somethings wrong with your setup.

thanks for the info. I will double check, fairly certain it is evenly placed on the processor.
