Digital vs Analog Audio?

So this question had cross my mind, I have both analog and digital audio headsets but i can tell the difference between them, is there any way to actual make a test about this?

Blind test, have someone switch between analog and digitial in a random order, without you looking.

There is no such thing as digital audio. Audio can be stored digitally, but when reproduced it is (and must be) analog.

 

Your "digital" headset is still analog. It just contains it's own DAC and amplifier, instead of relying on external equipment to perform those tasks.
