microphone\headphone combo

Maybe a Blue Yeti and some audiphile grade headphones like something from sennheiser or audiotechnica. If it fits in your budget, both could be quite expensive. But that would probably give you one of the best experiences.

Why not the Hyper X Cloud's or Cloud 2's? Also, if you really like a pair of headphones, slap a modmic on it!

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

This is what I use right now and the microphone quality is just a little less than a blue yetti... but a lot cheaper.

A Superlux HD668B for the headphones and the Sony ECMCS3 for a mic... total of $60 and they are WAY better than the hyperx cloud 2's because I have that as well so I would know...

Both of those can be found on amazon and I can post links if you would like me to.
