Okay, So in the GPU boost Inveistgations video @Slick (Luke) Said

 

Then as long as you have the additional headroom in thermal output and power draw 

So would that mean, you raise the power limit in Afterburner then GU boost should go higher? (In theory it should)

Because, since thermals aren't much of an issue on non-reference cards,

TL;DR

If you raise the power limit, shouldn't the GPU Boost technically boost higher or is there something I'm missing (thats not thermals)

Well even if you have some headroom after overclocking, dont use it, keep you temps safe and make sure you have alot of headroom on power for you other parts,

ahh i see, i theory no the gpu will only run faster if you tell the core and memory to run faster, the power limit determins the ''amount'' of power the gpu can use, kinda like the voltage on ur cpu, its the easy way to explain it
