First off, I'm thinking a $1000 dollar build Without the monitor. That leads me into the question of , What is the best monitor I can get for around $200?

I also would love any and all input as to what I can improve on/change. I'm excited for getting into custom pc building and want to make my first build the best I can for the price range.

My current build is

So, what should I improve on?

I most likely will also plan on overclocking so maybe a bigger psu?

scrap the amd cpu and go intel. for around 1000 bucks, you should get an i5-4590 with a b85 board or h97 or go up to the 4690k with a z97 board. get the corsair h60 over the h55. stick with this msi 390 as it's not voltage locked. you could prob. squeeze in a 390x or gtx 980. scrap the cx psu, it's shit. the monitor you chose is good

overall good build. i'd get a 750w psu, but that's just me. wanna make sure i'd have enough juice for an overclocked 390.

i dont read much. sometimes i'll just post.

Yeah, doesn't matter anymore, we helped the guy, as for the PSU wattage that you mentioned, the Xeon isn't a power hungry CPU and you can't overclock it so the 650W Gold+ should be enough even for an overclocked 390 in my opinion =)

Yep, you're basically good to go my friend.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I'm still wondering though about cheap(ish) good monitors. Any suggestions?
