System won't post

Go to solution Solved by nzstubbies,

I managed to find the error, it was a compatability issue between my usb3.0 to usb2.0 adapter.

Thanks for the replies though

I am building a NAS and I am using a Supermicro X7SPA-HF-D525 motherboard. The system will start and all my fans as well.

It will not post and gives me a beeing error that correspones with a memory error. I have checked it is the correct memory and and have tried a 2gb and 4gb post (as 4gb is the max) with it still giving me the same error beep. I tested the memory in an old laptop and it booted and the system showed 4gb installed.

Any ideas on what else I could do to get it to post?

I am using a silverstone SST-SX500-LG powersupply

The Chassis is a silverstone DS380

Thanks in advance
