less ram+ssd

Honestly he's not trying to save money he can keep the SSD and RAM.

Anyways my 2 cents.

Its a solid Z97 build but its just that its a Z97 build.

might want to get a Z170 build so you can have future upgrades without changing the mobo and RAM out. :)

Also for the same price point the R9 390 is slightly better if you're not worried about heat and wattage, also AMD benefits more from DX12 than Nvidia does due to Async computing AMD has that Nvidia doesn't have ( maybe they can emulate through drivers we don't know )

but yeah

It is cheaper to get a 2x8GB Kit of Ram.

Kingston Fury is ugly ?

Skylake runs dual channel so 2 sticks is fine.

Yes, but what I'm saying is 4 slots filled looks better than 2 slots filled it kind of feels empty and the fury isn't Ugly Ugly but the Vengeance looks Amazing + good Overclocking ability.

honestly up to the OP but for a 1900$ build I'd want it to look beautiful and perform like a beast.

Spending extra money just to fill out all the slots doesn't make any sense whether it looks nicer or not.

A Corsair 2400MHz 2 x 8GB Kit is cheaper still.

The money saved could be spent on a better cooler such as a BeQuiet Dark Rock 3/Pro 3.

I think you missed the price of the motherboard

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

8GB of ram is enough for now, games now barely use 8 gb.

Get a 200ish ssd first. You can always add another 50 bucks hdd when you have the cash to

Seriously, add that up - the build is only $1760 because the mobo is factored in at $0

It bothers me that this is the accepted solution in this condition.
